Fall Caribou Hunting in the Northern Tundra of Manitoba.
Our hunting grounds are smack dab in some of the densest migration routes Manitoba has to offer. The thick boreal forest slowly gives way to the never-ending boulder fields laced with muskeg and shallow bodies of water. This topography creates the perfect landscape to see the herds off in the distance, yet allows them to feel comfortable within the thinning cover. Lakes and rivers can also create perfect pinch points where a hunter can sit in comfort away from the elements. With years of experience, our team can put clients right where they need to be. Our 6-day camps start in the last few days of August and finish in the first week of October. We run 7 back-to-back camps during this time. Clients have the option to hunt with archery equipment, a slug shotgun, a muzzleloader, or a rifle. All transportation while in camp is by boat or on foot.
Our goal is to ensure our clients have quality tundra experience.
As we are hunting a migrating animal, sightings can vary. One day you may see hundreds of caribou, and the next day the tundra offers little to none. The tundra is an amazing place with hunting and fishing opportunities around each corner. We encourage our clients to take advantage of other opportunities while in the north, such as chasing lake trout, northern pike, arctic grayling, ptarmigan, or even a wolf. Just like the weather, hunting opportunities change quickly.
